Folder

DocCare2 has two types of folders: department folder and workspace folder. A department folder contains department documents. It is mapping to a real folder on hard disk. When you delete a department folder, you delete the disk folder, including files and their revisions.
A workspace folder is a virtual folder. It doesn’t exist on hard disk. Workspace folders are used to categorize workspace documents. When you delete a workspace folder you will not delete the department folder or documents.

Document

DocCare2 has two types of documents: department document and workspace document. A department document is mapping to a real file on hard disk. A department document can have revisions. Each revision is mapping to a real disk file. If you delete a department document, you will delete the real disk file and all its revisions.
A workspace document is a virtual document. It does not exist on hard disk. A workspace document is a link to a department document. Different workspace documents can link to the same department document. If you delete a workspace document, you just delete the link. The department document won't be deleted.
