Initialize DocCare2

After you configure all the parameters, it’s time to bring up DocCare2 application.
In Windows System, simply run ${BURGEONSOFT_HOME}\bin\startup.bat.
In Unix/Linux System, enable ${BURGEONSOFT_HOME}/bin/doccare.sh for execution.
For example: chmod u+x doccare.sh
Then execute the script:

[burgeonsoft][~]$ bin/doccare.sh start

To check if DocCare2 started properly, you can open the URL in browser. For example: http://localhost:8088/doccare/ The port is defined in ${BURGEONSOFT_HOME}/deploy/tomcat.sar/services.xml. By default it’s 8088.
You should see the following page:

Your DocCare2 server started up properly if you see this page.

Note: You will probably see some exceptions in the console window or log file when you start DocCare2 first time. That’s because the database hasn’t been initialized. You need to go forward to complete the installation.

You have seen the Initialization page. It asks for some required information for running DocCare2. There’re three sections in this page. Please read the descriptions below the section title and input required information. After that, click ‘Install DocCare’.
Please wait a few seconds and you should see a successful message.
Now you can sign in DocCare2 and take tour in it.
