Backup and Restore

Backup

DocCare2 provides online backup. When an administrator performs a backup operation, DocCare2 will create a one-time job to backup DocCare2 data in the background. When a backup job is running, users are forbidden to upload new document, check in/checkout document, move document/folder, batch import documents or delete document. Users are only allowed to browse or download document.
The data DocCare2 will backup including:

• DocCare2 database table records.
• DocCare2 database schema.
• All documents and revisions.
• Installation information and license information.
• User action logs.

All the data will be packaged in a zipped file and placed in a specific folder. The path of this folder is defined by attribute BACKUP_DIR in services.xml under ${BURGEON_HOME}/deploy/resourcemanager.sar.
DocCare2 will not backup the following data:

• One Time Job data

Restore

DocCare2 provides an easy way to restore all your backup documents and revisions, database information, user action log, installation information and license information.
