DocCare is a software developed by Burgeonsoft for companies or groups to manage their business document efficiently, securely and smartly. DocCare is an innovative, rich-featured, high-performance and web-based document management server. It requires few setup steps and almost works out-of-box. Now, DocCare is accepted and recommended by more and more users for its convenience, efficiency and easy to use.

Designed for organizations

DocCare is designed for organizational users rather than for individuals. DocCare uses GES (General Enterprise Structure) model to organize documents automatically and limit document access scope intelligently.

DocCare departments have a tree type structure. Each DocCare user must be a member of one department. Each DocCare department has a root folder. The document access scope is limited to the department root folder. Thus, a user can only access documents owned by his department and sub departments. He has no right to access documents owned by parent department or other departments.

DocCare also introduces Workspace for users to share documents along with business entities securely. For example, project members can share project related documents, meeting minutes, customer information, etc. See figure below:

A DocCare workspace is a collection of virtual documents and folders. A workspace document is a shortcut of a actual document. You won't delete the actual document if you delete a workspace document.

Designed for business

For end users, document management is a tedious, non-productive work. So we are trying our best to let DocCare manage document behide the scenes. In document categorizing, searching, sharing, access controlling and collaboration, DocCare tries to make users to focus on their business.

We developed concepts and features such as GES model, Workspace, Fast Searching, Auto Mail Collection, all follow this idea.

DocCare is a pure JAVA application, supporting the leading mainstream OS’s including Linux/Unix, Windows (2000/XP/2003 Server/Win 7), Mac OS X, and more. DocCare also has a pure web-based client - As long as users has web browser installed on their computer, they can manage documents via DocCare.

Designed for extensibility

DocCare provides comprehensive enterprise document management solutions. We understand that every industry and organization has unique needs. So DocCare is designed to be extensible, easily add new features and customize.

Based on the micro kernel architecture, all DocCare components work as services. Customer specific requirements can be implemented as new services and plug in DocCare.
